The Town of Severance (“Town”) is proceeding with the construction of a new Police Facility. The project will include the demolition of one existing building located at 211 1st Street, Severance, CO 80546, and the renovation and construction of an existing building located at 209 1st Street, Severance, CO 80546.
The project includes the construction and renovation of a building for a law enforcement facility. Total improvements encompass a 3,700-sq. ft. footprint. The facility is planned to include five (5) private offices at approximately 80 sq. ft. each, seven (7) workstations in an open configuration, a 100 sq. ft. secure records room, a 320 sq. ft. lobby providing secure public access, a 300 sq. ft. weight room and training facility, men's and women's locker and bathroom facilities at 100 sq. ft. each, a secure 50 sq. ft. interrogation room, two holding cells at approximately 75 sq. ft., and a 1,280 sq. ft. sally port with vehicle access. The work will also include exterior façade enhancements and additional site improvements such as parking, sidewalks, and curb and gutter.
The Town anticipates using a Construction Manager at Risk (CM@R) approach for project delivery. While this is a team proposal from both Contractor and Architect/Engineer, the contracts will be individual, but the propsal will be jointly.
