The Town is proposing to construct a new Public Works Facility on an undeveloped 20-acre Town-owned parcel located 1.5 miles west of downtown on WCR 34. Commonly referred to as the Dry Lake, the site currently serves as a storage location for stockpiled materials and is the site of the Town’s bi-annual Clean Up Day. This facility will house the Public Works and Engineering staff, consolidate material and equipment storage that is currently housed in four different locations, and relocate heavy truck and equipment activity from the current facility in the downtown area. The Town intends to construct the facility in 2021.
The Town of Mead requires the services of a professional Owner’s Representative firm, including appropriate sub-consultants, for this project. The approximate total project budget is $5.0 Million. This value includes all development and permit fees, furniture, fixtures and equipment, Owner’s separate consultants, offsite improvements, onsite improvements, and facility structures.
Depending on the qualifications of the selected firm, the Town may extend the contract for owner’s representative services for future projects on an on-call basis. Potential projects include remodeling of an existing metal building for recreation purposes, construction of park improvements, arterial intersection improvements, and trail and underpass construction.
