2022-009 - Community Center Architectural/Engineering Design Services

The Town of Mead is seeking qualified consultants to provide architectural/engineering design services for a new community center. The Town purchased a one-acre property containing approximately 16,000 square feet of agricultural/industrial space located at 401 3rd Street in the heart of downtown Mead.  The existing facilities onsite are scheduled for demolition by late fall of 2022, allowing for new construction of this Community Center facility.  Part of the demolition work includes demolition of a structure commonly referred to as the “Bean Plant”. The property originally served as a pinto bean processing facility as far back as the 1920’s and has seen a number of different uses since.  The Town desires to maintain the historic aesthetic through building outline, façade design, or other means.  Some items currently onsite are planned for salvage and incorporation into the Community Center building. The scope includes initial and final site plan documents, schematic design package, design development package, construction documents, specifications for construction, and other documents as required for bidding, permit review and Town development review processes.
