The Castle Rock Parks, Recreation, Trails and Open Space Master Plan includes a policy goal to place neighborhood parks within walking distance of all residents. In order to continue this program, the Town of Castle Rock has allocated $2 million in 2018 for the construction of the next neighborhood park project. Town Council has approved the site selection for the 5.5-acre Lot 2, the Meadows Filing 18 8th amendment, located adjacent to Aspen View Academy Charter School. The property is platted and owned by the Town.

A mandatory pre-proposal meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m., November 6, 2017 at the
Miller Activity Complex, 1375 W. Plum Creek Parkway, Castle Rock, CO 80921. A project site visit will follow the meeting.
Firms planning to attend the pre-proposal meeting should notify Jeff Smullen by November 1, 2017 at jsmullen@crgov.com and provide the firm’s main contact information as well as the number of people from their team who will be attending. Knowledge gained from this site visit must be taken into consideration during the planning, design and construction of the Operations & Maintenance Center and ancillary facilities. In an effort to make this a smooth and timely process, we ask that only Design Consultants seriously considering submitting a proposal participate in the pre-proposal meeting.
During the meeting the Town of Castle Rock staff will provide a project overview and review of the proposal requirements.
