The work to be performed under this contract generally includes historic grade control structure improvements within the stream channel at three McMurdo Gulch Civilian Conservation Corp Structure locations, consisting of grading, water control, unclassified excavation, installing and removing temporary shoring, stone replacement, re-pointing of existing grout, backfilling using structural backfill, placement of void-filled riprap, landscaping, erosion and sediment control, and related appurtenances. All work required for the project shall be in accordance with Town of Castle Rock Contract Documents for McMURDO GULCH CIVILIAN CONSERVATION CORP STRUCTURE REHABILITATION PROJECT and the latest editions of the Town of Castle Rock Construction Methodology and Materials Manual, Town of Castle Rock Details, Town of Castle Rock Temporary Erosion and Sediment Control (TESC) Manual, Town of Castle Rock Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) and Mile High Flood District (MHFD) Technical Specifications. (https://mhfd.org/specifications). Contractor shall verify actual field conditions prior to construction. It is strongly recommended that the prospective bidders investigate the site of work sufficiently to satisfy themselves of the extent and conditions of the project. Contractor will be required to coordinate construction activities with adjacent property owners, trash removal companies, school district and other Town maintenance projects if applicable. The Contractor is responsible for obtaining State Stormwater Discharge and Dewatering permits, as applicable. The Contractor shall also obtain Construction and TESC permits with the Town. There are no fees associated with these Town permits.
