The town of Berthoud is soliciting bids from licensed contractors for designing and constructing a post-frame metal storage building. The building envelope should not exceed 125’ x 60’. The building's east wall should include (5) 16’x14’ overhead doors and the west wall should include (2) 16’x14’ overhead doors, creating two drive-thru bays. Additional building requirements include 2 walk-through doors, building insulation, heating, lighting, roof guttering, and concrete flooring to withstand heavy equipment. Concrete will also need to be installed surrounding the building. The building and metal roofing should be able to withstand high winds and heavy snow loads.
The total budgeted dollar amount allocated to the project is up to $225,000 depending on the project design features. Work for the project would begin after July 5th, 2021, and be completed before September 31st, 2021.
Proposals must include complete drawings for each design, specifications, and pictures for each component in designs and colors available. The town of Berthoud will contract the installation of electrical utility services to the site. Bid prices must include the cost of site preparation and excavation, concrete work, building installation, delivery, labor, and supervision.
