Specifications include, but are not limited to: Soft Body Armor: 1. Panels – The CSPD currently uses Level II and Level IIIA soft body armor. Offeror should provide a description of the Level II and Level IIIA soft body armor it would recommend for the CSPD. Information related to the ballistic panels should include, but not be limited to: o Thickness o Flexibility o Weight o Fit requirements and in what size increments the vests are cut o Wear direction labeling o Serial number or other vest identification labeling to allow for vest tracking o Panel material Plates – Offeror should provide information on the trauma and/or rifle-rated plates available for use with the soft body armor recommended by Offeror. At a minimum, Offeror should include: o Type o NIJ threat level o Available sizes o Labeling or other tracking method o Any warranty information Internal/Concealable Carrier – The CSPD currently provides two (2) internal/concealed carriers to each employee required to wear body armor. Offeror should describe how the carrier meets the following criteria: o Carrier fabric that is lightweight, durable, moisture-wicking, fast drying, and provides odor control o Panel pocket(s) location, closure, ease of insertion o Ease of donning and doffing including easily adjustable shoulder and torso straps, and number/location of adjustment points o Color options
