The State of Colorado, Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA) is soliciting the submittal of qualification proposals from Architect-Engineer (A-E) firms to provide design services for a new Colorado Army National Guard (COARNG) Readiness Center located in Westminster, Colorado. The project will be to design a 40,321 Square Foot (SF) Readiness Center for two Field Artillery Units. Also included in the overall project scope will be a 4,182 SF detached General Purpose Training Building, a 330 SF detached Controlled Waste Facility, and a 110 SF detached Flammable Materials Storage Building. A Motor Pool measuring 4,350 SY in size is to be included within the project scope as well as vehicle circulation roads, curbing, sidewalks and a Personal Vehicle Parking Lot measuring 12,131 SY in size. Site Utility Extensions in the form of Geo-Thermal, Photovoltaics and a Battery Wall are to be planned for. A Detention Basin will be included in the project site work as well as a low water usage landscaping plan that addresses the entire property. Anti-Terrorism and Force Protection measures will be incorporated into the project, including stand-off distances, bollards, perimeter security fencing, security lighting, and access-controlled vehicle gates. The Readiness Center building will be two stories in height and will be handicap accessible. The bidding and contract administration for this project will be contracted separately.
