Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. Officials Training Expectations • Officials should be trained in the specific sport’s general rules prior to employment with the Town. • Officials training may also consist of classroom sessions and on field/court sessions/scrimmages to review “house” rules for the Town. • Officials training sessions and/or staff meetings will take place at the start of each season, as determined by the Town. • At the option of the Town, Town staff will be permitted to discuss league rules at Officials training sessions and/or staff meetings. B. Payment for Officiating Services • Payments from the Town to the Service Provider shall be made monthly based on invoices received from the Service Provider. • Pay rates for Officials of each sport and game will be negotiated between the Service Provider and the Town at the commencement of the Agreement and are only able to be adjusted during the optional renewal period. Current Officials game rates are specified on the Pricing form. • In the case of an Official no-show, the Town shall be credited the Official’s payment and the pergame assigning fee on the next invoice. C. Officials Conduct • Town staff may require that specific Officials not be permitted to officiate Town games/sports in the following situations: • Officials using inappropriate conduct (as determined by Town staff) with players, coaches, staff, or spectators. • Officials using lewd or foul language (as determined by Town staff). • Officials with criminal histories such as, but not limited to, sexual assault, assault, domestic violence or crimes against children. • Other acts not specifically defined in this section, as determined by Town staff. • Officials are expected to be at their assigned location at minimum, 15 minutes prior to the first game time.
