RFA (RFP) KADA 2024000070 - Small Business Apprenticeship Support Grant

The Colorado Workforce Development Council (CWDC) is seeking applications from small businesses interested in launching a new Registered Apprenticeship Program (RAP) or who need additional capacity to maintain and enhance an existing RAP.

The CWDC is providing awards of up to $50,000.00 in grant funding to small businesses launching new or providing support for existing RAPs. RAPs are a critical strategy for addressing talent demand shortages for employers while expanding career pathway opportunities for Coloradans. This grant is for employers to grow and expand registered apprenticeships. Examples of how an employer can utilize funding include:

* Hiring internal administrative support to develop or expand registered apprenticeship 
* Provide training for managers and/or mentors
* Curriculum development

Applicant Eligibility:
* Businesses that consist of up to 500 employees who are implementing an existing RAP (Registered Apprenticeship Program) or interested in developing a RAP in the State of Colorado.
* Businesses that have not received funds from the Office of the Future of Work's Scale Up grant program.

Note: A group of 2 or more businesses in a shared industry interested in planning and launching a RAP. may apply on one application. It is encouraged to identify all participating partners in the application. Sector Partnerships are eligible to apply.
