2017-133 - Security for City of Aspen Special Events

The City hosts or co-hosts several events each year such as America’s Uphill, The Aspen Backcountry Marathon, the Aspen Community Picnic, Golden Leaf Half Marathon, an old fashioned 4th of July parade, New Year’s Eve festivities and fireworks, and the Owl Creek Chase.  The City’s Special Events department is responsible for the organization of these events and would like to contract with a company to provide security at all events that require it.  The contract will be for a three-year period with two (2) one-year options to renew.
