The goal of this work is to establish a baseline understanding of how the reuse economy contributes to Denver’s overall economy and greenhouse gas emission reductions and the factors critical to its equitable growth. For this study, the reuse economy will be defined as businesses working in secondhand retail, repair services, rental services, and refill retail shops and will exclude the automotive sector, and home repair services. This study will focus on identifying brick-and-mortar businesses and will not include the informal sector, online resale businesses, or online marketplaces designed for consumers reselling to other consumers.
