Description

Western Colorado University is seeking the services of a professional contractor to install supplemental cooling systems at Hurst Hall on the WCU campus, including all plumbing and electrical work associated therewith. Systems include central evaporative cooling modules to be installed in existing air handlers as well as split-dx spot cooling systems. In order to allow WCU to work within the available budget, the project shall be broken up into the following divisions with separate pricing for each:

COOLING SYSTEM 1: AHU-1 EVAPORATIVE COOLING MODULE
COOLING SYSTEM 2: AHU-2 EVAPORATIVE COOLING MODULE
COOLING SYSTEM 3: AHU-3 EVAPORATIVE COOLING MODULE
COOLING SYSTEM 4: AHU-4 EVAPORATIVE COOLING MODULE
COOLING SYSTEM 5: AHU-5 EVAPORATIVE COOLING MODULE
COOLING SYSTEM 6: ELECTRON MICROSCOPY COOLING (AC-1/CU-1)
COOLING SYSTEM 7: GIS COMPUTER LAB (AC-2/CU-2)
COOLING SYSTEM 8: ANIMAL LAB (AC-3/CU-3)

Refer to attached drawings for details regarding separate systems, narrative found on M0.00. The facility must remain open and functional during installation of the above work. Air Handlers may be shut down to perform installation of evaporative cooling modules with owner’s permission. There are no restrictions regarding work hours. Space for contractor’s operations (i.e. storage, staging, etc) is available directly adjacent to the facility, to be coordinated by owner.
