The City of Rifle has x-rayed the existing transmission line feeding the Deerfield Tank Complex and found that its wall thickness has made it critical to replace. The existing alignment for the transmission line does not contain enough room for the new transmission line and existing so the project intends on the new alignment contained in the attached documents. All facilities including roadway, sidewalk and curb and gutter are planned to be designed for replacement as needed with the transmission line construction which will be funded partially by grants. These grants are the primary constraint for the design schedule.
