The State of Colorado Judicial Department, by and through the Office of the State Court Administrator, referred to herein as “the Judicial Department,” issues this Request for Proposals for the purpose of obtaining proposals from private collection entities and establish a list of Colorado Judicial Department approved, eligible providers. The Judicial Department seeks Respondents who will work closely with the State Court Administrator's Office, Collections Investigators located in the courts and probation departments, and with other Judicial staff in implementing progressive systems and technology aimed at enhancing the collection process and assisting the Collections Investigators in efficiently handling their work loads. The activities to be implemented under this RFP will be centered primarily on enhancing the process by which amounts imposed in felony, misdemeanor and traffic cases are collected from defendants. Other work, although at a much lesser volume, may include collecting fees in civil or domestic cases or recoveries in other case types.
