Description

The City’s key goals for the model update all support the systems objectives to maximize firm yield,
minimize loss and maximize generation of reusable effluent.
1. Modernize approaches to water allocation modeling to better support Department staff and
planning efforts.
2. Facilitate the reproducibility of model scenarios of past model outputs.
3. Create a DMS for data input and output that allows for less manual manipulation of data and
quicker data comparisons.
4. Allow for scalability and transparency of scenario analysis.
