22888 - Grand Junction Conference Room Remodel

Qualified General Contractors are invited to bid on the remodel of an existing 6,000 square foot mechanic’s shop into a conference room with associated amenities.  The existing mechanics shop is part of a 15,000 sq. ft. masonry building with adjacent office space and a work shop.  The mechanics shop will be converted into a 300-person divisible conference room, break room, men’s and women’s restrooms, two smaller conference rooms and an electrical room. The existing exterior walls and roof shall remain with new insulation and furring at the exterior walls and infills at some windows and upgrades of exterior doors.  The HVAC system will be upgraded to accommodate the new function of the space.  There will be new plumbing fixtures for the restroom and break room. The conference room area will be sprinklered with a new fire line brought to this part of the building. A bidding add alternate is included to replace the exterior windows in this area.
