The CSU Photography unit is a cost-recovery unit and is required to collect funds for commissioned assignment services and the licensing of stock photographic assets. All assets are posted and provided digitally to university partners via a cloud-based digital asset management system (DAM). The DAM is redundantly backed-up and all 425,000 assets are viewable to the entire university community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The DAM consists of two sections, a contemporary database and an archive database. All assets are secured behind password protected user privileged login access, all assets within the DAM are stored in the following formats: MP4, WMV, EPS, Illustrator Vector, GIF, PNG, Tiff, and JPEG with most of the photographic assets being posted as Adobe DNG raw files. The DAM system users consist of administrative, contributors, internal partners, external partners, and guest users each, with specific privileged access. Our current agreement expires in October 2022.
The intent of this Request for Information (RFI) is to elicit an expression of interest and responses to specific questions as outlined within the RFI in order to procure a new system.
