21-030 - Diesel and Gasoline Purchase

The Roaring Fork Transportation Authority (“RFTA”) is soliciting proposals from qualified proposers for to supply and deliver on-road diesel and gasoline fuel to RFTA facilities.  RFTA is interested in a five year contract.

For over ten years, RFTA has engaged in purchasing fixed forward contracts to manage volatility in pricing and allowing for more budget certainty and would like to continue this practice.  In addition to fixed forward contracts, RFTA is open to consider any other pricing strategies that proposers may offer. 

The successful Contractor will supply RFTA with diesel and gasoline fuel at RFTA’s two maintenance facilities: Glenwood Springs and Aspen, Colorado.  RFTA shall request and receive price quotations each fall for consideration to purchase fixed forward pricing for future periods. For example: in the fall of 2021, RFTA will request fixed forward pricing for 2023 purchase deliveries.
