NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Delta County Sheriff’s Office is soliciting competitive sealed bid proposals from qualified vendors for the purchase, programming and delivery of twenty (20) portable radios and specified accessories. Radios must meet specifications as defined within the RFP packet in sections 6, 7 and 8.
Project Summary:
The Delta County Sheriff’s Office, Detention Division is soliciting proposals from vendors to purchase new portable radios for use by Deputies in the Detention facility (county jail). The Sheriff’s Office is seeking to replace an aging fleet of Motorola XTS 1500, 2500 and 5000 800mHz radios with twenty (20) new P25 compliant 700/800 Mhz radios. In addition to the 20 portable radios, the bid must include shoulder microphones for all 20-radios that include a 3.5 mm audio jack, high-capacity batteries capable of lasting a 10-hour shift (one per radio), and two (2) six-bank radio chargers to allow the detention facility to charge up to 12 radios at one time.
Full radio specifications are listed in the attached RFP document in Sections 6 through 8 to include P25 compliance, encryption requirements and radio programming requirements.
