The Boulder Watershed Collective, Colorado State Forest Service and Sugarloaf and Four Mile Fire Protection Districts have developed the Arkansas Mountain Fuels Reduction Project to reduce wildfire risk for the community and to protect water resources and ecosystem services. The project is 113 acres across four units. All property is privately owned. Please see the Request for Proposal (RFP) for information about existing conditions, treatment prescription and operational considerations. This project was bid in 2022, but not contracted. Since then, the acreage and prescription have changed slightly. The RFP reflects those changes.
