Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. The selected firm shall provide an “on-call” type of engineering service for the City of Trinidad by assisting and supporting the Public Works, Engineering and Utilities Departments with major projects as well as routine questions and design needs that arise for a period of 2 years with a change to renew biennial. 2. The selected firm shall work with City staff to ensure plans, projects and approaches are prepared following guidelines as set forth by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the Americans with Disability Act (ADA), state and local building codes, and other regulatory agencies. 3. The selected firm shall be capable of providing plans and contract documents stamped by a professional engineer or architect licensed in the State of Colorado. 4. Design, engineering, and consulting services may include but are not limited to the following: a. Preparation of engineering quantity estimates and costs. b. Preparation of street improvement plans with emphasis on ADA compliance. c. Structural design and review. d. Preparation of grading improvement plans. e. Preparation of traffic control plans. f. Preparation of storm drain improvement plans. g. Preparation of water distribution plans. h. Preparation and review of roadway design. i. Preparation and review of electrical distribution plans. j. Preparation of Sanitary Sewer line and lift station design and plans. k. Preparation of water and sewer capacity reports. l. Review of gas distribution design. m. Provide day-to-day consultation to staff as needed or construction observation. n. Attending City Council meetings as needed. o. Assistance in grant exploration, analysis and acquisition for specific projects. p. Coordination with Geotechnical and Telecommunication Companies. q. Prepare Storm Water Management Plans (SWMP) as needed for various projects. r. Prepare building improvements, either new or existing, including mechanical and electrical disciplines.
