Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bid Item 1 – Mobilization This bid item includes the mobilization of personnel, equipment and supplies at the project site in preparation for the Work, as well as the establishment and maintenance for the duration of the Contract of the Contractor’s sanitary facilities, protective fencing and barricades not included elsewhere, necessary facilities, and all other costs incurred or labor and operations which must be performed prior to beginning the other items under the Contract. This item shall include any costs for required bonding of this project. This item shall also include marshalling, disassembly and security of all items indicated on the Construction Drawings or Specifications or installed as part of mobilization and demobilization from the site. Payment will be made in two installments: the first 60% will be paid on the first month’s pay estimate, and the remaining 40% after the final cleanup has been completed and approved. Bid Item 2 –Survey Control This bid item includes establishing and maintaining all horizontal and vertical control, setting reference stakes, paving limits, layout stakes, batter boards, and all other construction staking required for the project. The work shall be done under the supervision of a registered professional land surveyor (P.L.S.) registered in the State of Colorado. This bid item covers all aspects of the construction staking associated with the project, including paving and concrete work. As-built drawings required to document construction shall be considered a requirement of this bid item. Measuring and surveying for payment quantities and the calculations and documentation required for construction quantities are also included. Progress payments will be made periodically based on an estimated completed percentage of the lump sum bid price. Bid Item 3 – Demolition and Disposal of Existing Asphalt Pavement and Sub-Grade – East Parking Lot This bid item includes all labor, materials, equipment and independent testing services for the removal and disposal of the existing asphalt and subgrade of the parking lot area. This bid item shall include, but is not limited to excavation, demolition, hauling and disposal of materials offsite, and grading and compaction of the remaining subgrade. This bid item will be measured and paid at the contract unit price in square feet of surface area removed.
