Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) proposes the renovation of approximately 31,082 square feet of an existing 132,568 square foot commercial building located at 3650 N Nevada Ave. in Colorado Springs, CO. The renovation project proposes the creation of four new 32 seat, 900 square feet classrooms, each separated from one another by moveable partitions. The moveable partitions will allow the university to reconfigure the space to provide two 64 seat, 1,800 square foot classrooms, or one large, 128 seat classroom. Four new laboratories, complete with attached faculty office will also be created, along with 9 new faculty offices and 4 separate conference rooms ranging in size from 262 square feet to 593 square feet. Preliminary plans for the project identify a 4,000 square foot cyber study hall located near the front of the renovation project. The study hall will provide a dedicated zone and workgroup project area for student and faculty use.
