1. This RFI is issued solely to determine potential sources for information and planning purposes. This Sources Sought does not constitute an Invitation for Bids, Request for Proposals, or a Request for Quotations, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue an order or otherwise pay for the information solicited, nor is it a guarantee of a forthcoming solicitation or contract. It is for market research purposes only. Respondents will not be notified of the results of the evaluation. The Government is not at this time seeking proposals and will not accept unsolicited proposals. Not responding to this RFI does not preclude participation in any potential future RFQ. It is the responsibility of potential offerors to monitor SAM.gov for additional information pertaining to this requirement. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research, a continuous process for collecting and analyzing information about capabilities within the market to satisfy agency needs. The acquisition strategy has not yet been determined, and market research results will assist in determining the direction this acquisition may take.
2. The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to gain knowledge of interest, capabilities, and qualifications of various members of industry, to include the Small Business Community: Small Business, Section 8(a), Historically Underutilized Business Zones (HUB-Zone), Service-Disabled Veteran- Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB), and Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business (EDWOSB). The Government must ensure there is adequate competition among the potential pool of responsible contractors. Small business, Section 8(a), HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, & EDWOSB businesses are highly encouraged to participate. Responses are requested from all business sizes.
3. This Sources Sought is for a furniture and seating requirement for 392 CTS at Schriever SFB, CO. The workspace exists within a restricted area and will require escorts for all contractors and employees coming into the space. The estimated scope of the contract is:
- Thirty-eight (49) Desks – 5’ x 2.5’
- Two (2) 8’ Conference Tables
- Fourteen (14) Rolling under desk cabinets
- Thirty-six (36) dual monitor mounts and arms
- Two (2) Open Cubicles – 7.5’ x 7.5’, with L-shaped desks, 2x two (2) under desk storage cabinets, 2x two (2) above desk storage cabinets with lights mounted underneath, 6x six (6) power outlets
- One (1) Closed Cubicle – 7.5’ x ~13.0’, with C-shaped desk, sliding door entrance, 4x four (4) above desk storage cabinets with lights mounded underneath, 12x twelve (12) power outlets
- Fifty (50) rolling office chairs
- Demolition/removal/disposal of existing furniture and seating
- Design/Configuration/Delivery/Installation of new furniture and seating
4. The Government intends to solicit this requirement as a Brand Name requirement for Teknion. The furniture must be compatible with the modular design of Teknion office furniture, as the requirement owner may need to combine furniture from this requirement with previously purchased Teknion furniture in future reconfigurations. Please indicate if you can provide furniture compatible with Teknion brand, or if compatibility would require this acquisition to be a brand name purchase. Additionally, please indicate if you are an authorized dealer/reseller of Teknion furniture.
5. Please provide current estimated lead times for the necessary products to fulfill this requirement.
