23-024 - 23-024 Shouldering Repair

Shoulder repair work is required for the Rio Grande Trail (Trail) between the old Roaring Fork River Railroad Bridge (near the Carbondale Park-n-Ride) and the CMC Trailhead, all work is in Garfield County.  Work will include approximately 5 miles of shoulder repair/replacement on both sides of the Trail and associated traffic control.  The goal is to rebuild the Trail shoulders to achieve a 2-3’ wide shoulder using compacted recycled asphalt pavement (RAP).  We need a stable, well-draining shoulder with proper slope and a smooth transition from the edge of asphalt.
