Description

In general, the work consists of replacing and upgrading radio communication equipment used by the Pueblo West Metropolitan District’s Utilities Department water and wastewater systems. The District has an existing 2.4 GHZ unlicensed radio system for communication from 13 remote sites to the SCADA system located at Treatment Plant 1 (TP1). The existing system uses Locus radio modems. These modems are obsolete and PWMD is requesting bids to replace the entire system. The project will consist of new radio modems, antennas, antenna cables, surge arrestors, integration by systems integrator (Systems Engineering Group) and the radio tower contractor (Eastek Tower). The District expects the contractor to minimize down time as much a possible.
