Platte River, and its four owner communities of Estes Park, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Loveland, are seeking to contract with one or more consultants to provide a variety of energy advising, assessment, administrative, and implementation services to support development and delivery of residential distributed energy solutions programming, achieve homes program goals and provide customer services. The selected bidder(s) may:
- Provide eligible residential utility customers with accurate, unbiased information to help them understand and select healthy, safe and impactful energy improvement measures;
- Provide eligible residential utility customers with a simple, timely, effective and equitable process for making home improvements to more efficiently use energy and water and improve comfort, health and safety. An eligible residential utility customer is defined as anyone residing in a single-family residential property or multi-family residential property with four or fewer units per building that purchases electricity from Estes Park Power and Communications, Fort Collins Utilities, Longmont Power and Communications or Loveland Water and Power (“Participant");
- Provide Participants with education and assistance on the home's potential, commonly known as energy advising, in order to achieve a high level of smart energy use home upgrades;
- Inform Participants of available incentives they qualify for as well as financing options and other program offerings. This may include state and federal tax incentives or rebates;
- Maintain high customer satisfaction standards;
- Provide quality control services to eligible customers on completed measures;
- Provide onboard training to contractors who wish to become listed Efficiency Works Homes service providers;
- Provide training to listed Efficiency Works Homes service providers on installation and rebate application processes;
- Implement additional owner communities tasks as required;
At Platte River’s discretion, some proposals may be awarded as an on-call and others as a sum not to exceed contract. Awarded proposals will be awarded as a three year contract, and the term will begin January 1, 2025, and extend through December 31, 2027.
