1. Introduction
Pueblo County School District 70, Craver Middle School, located at 4850 S Crow Cutoff Colorado City, CO, is
seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the design, supply, and installation (foreman) of a greenhouse to
support educational programs in science, sustainability, and agriculture. The greenhouse will serve as a
hands-on learning environment for students in grades 7 and 8 and will be used to grow plants, conduct
experiments, and promote environmental stewardship.
The purpose of this RFP is to identify a vendor capable of delivering a durable, functional, and cost-effective
greenhouse that meets the school’s educational goals and complies with local regulations.
2. Scope of Work
The selected vendor will be responsible for the following:
● Design: Provide a greenhouse design that maximizes natural light, ventilation, and space efficiency.
The design should be appropriate for a school setting and accommodate educational activities.
● Materials: Supply all necessary materials, including the greenhouse frame, glazing (e.g.,
polycarbonate or glass)
● Installation: Complete on-site installation, assembly, and testing of all systems OR foreman to assist
our work based learner program install it
● Size: The greenhouse should be approximately 18 ft X 36 ft with flexibility for adjustments based on
site constraints and budget.
● Features:
○ Climate control (e.g., heating, cooling, and ventilation systems).
○ Durable, weather-resistant construction suitable for heavy snow and high winds.
○ Accessibility features compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Training: Provide training for school staff and/or students on greenhouse operation and
maintenance.
● Warranty: Include a minimum warranty on materials and workmanship.
