IFB-TK-2013-F - OLIGARGHY DITCH HEADWORKS PROJECT

Summary of Specifications:
SCOPE:This project involves the rebuilding of the Oligarchy Ditch Diversion Structure and Headgate facility which were catastrophically destroyed in the September 2013 flood. This project is located approximately 1 mile south of Hwy 66 and approximately 6 miles west of the City of Longmont on North 63rd Street. This project will involve the demolition of the existing concrete diversion structure and headgates, the installation and placement of a large boulder rip rap diversion structure, forming and pouring head gate structures, sandgate channel, bypass channel, fish ladder and site restoration. 

SITE CONDITIONS: It is strongly recommended that the prospective bidders investigate the site of the work sufficiently to satisfy themselves of the extent and conditions of the project. The work will be conducted on a live stream and contractors should be prepared to handle fluctuating river flows. 

BID CONDITION: The Contractor shall provide evidence that the Contractor is qualified to perform the Work indicated in the Contract Documents. The Contractor and the Contractor’s on-site representative who has immediate charge of the project shall each have satisfactorily completed the same responsibilities on at least one project which dealt with building large diversion structures in a live stream which is similar in size to the St. Vrain Creek within the last 5 years.
