24005 - Private Probation Services

The State of Colorado Judicial Department issues this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the purpose of obtaining supplemental probation services for probationers.  The Judicial Department’s Probation Departments are seeking private providers to provide supervision of lower risk adult probationers with cases originating in County and District Courts within the Judicial Districts. 

This will include supervision of cases meeting lower risk criteria; referrals will be based upon risk assessment protocols established by the Office of the State Court Administrator. In addition to providing supervision services, the private provider will be responsible for initiating revocation procedures and may be required to participate in administrative proceedings or court appearances.

Fees for the services are a $50.00 monthly supervision fee, which is paid by the probationer.  The private provider is responsible for collecting supervision fees from probationers.  In FY22, approximately 3,600 new probationers were assigned to private probation statewide.
