22011 - Field Specialist Services

The Judicial Department has a requirement for Field Specialist Services at the 1st Judicial District Probation Department. Primary responsibility is to provide supplemental community and resource-based responsive recovery support services to probationers supervised in the 1st JD Probation Department’s population that has been assessed with validated instruments as high risk and high need. The population in these programs consists primarily of unstable clients who have an extensive history of substance abuse or addiction, mental illness and homelessness. Protective factors are often rare or highly disrupted with this population of probationers. The Field Specialist’s roles would be to remove barriers, focus on community resource access and to facilitate skill building with the clients on probation.
