WI 18 119 - LLDC Structure Rehabilitation Project

The purpose of this request for proposals (“RFP”) is to solicit proposals to make improvements to the existing structure and appurtenant items on the South Platte River in Evans, Colorado. The Lower Latham Ditch Company (LLDC) is the owner and operator of the Lower Latham River Diversion and the Lower Latham Ditch. LLDC Structure Rehabilitation Project: This project extends from the Union Pacific Railroad, just downstream of US Highway 85, to approximately 1,000 feet upstream of the Lower Latham Ditch diversion structures. The purpose of this project can be summarized as follows: 

• Satisfy the water diversions of the Lower Latham Ditch Company and water commissioner;
• Reduce flooding;
• Decrease maintenance and sedimentation issues within the Lower Latham Ditch;
• Improve safety for river recreation; Mitigate potential for channel instability and bank erosion;
• Improve the sediment transport capacity within the study reach to mitigate existing channel aggradation and;
• Improve existing impediments to fish passage.
