Summary of Specifications:
La Plata County, Colorado, (County) is requesting proposals from experienced and qualified solid waste disposal firms to assume operation of the county's trash disposal and the collection of recyclables at convenience centers near Bayfield and Marvel, Colorado. The County currently owns two sites being operated as waste disposal and recycle convenience centers. La Plata County promotes and supports excellent customer service in all its operations. Therefore, the successful bidder should explain how it intends to emphasize quality customer service in the operation of the county's convenience centers. The convenience centers must be well managed, clean and user friendly and comply with all state and federal solid waste regulations.
