The Library seeks to obtain a proposal on the hardware, software and support services necessary to install and enable the management of a hybrid RFID/barcode enabled self-checkout system, to be installed on library-provided computers. The project includes a migration to a new RFID system for six branch locations and the administration office, including RFID equipment, hardware, and software integration with the Library’s integrated library management system (ILS), 34 staff RFID reader pads, 12 patron self-checkout stations installed on library-provided computers, 6 portable handheld devices for inventory control, and ISO compliant RFID tags for new materials.
