El Paso County is soliciting responses from qualified Service Providers to furnish all procurement card (PCard) services, including cards, a card management system, a transaction system, and labor as necessary to initiate the Procurement Card Program for El Paso County and to continue services for an extended period of time. The initial “go live” date is currently scheduled for May 1, 2024.
El Paso County has been utilizing a Procurement Card Program for approximately 15 years. We are currently utilizing individual cards and department cards. The County has 434 open PCard accounts, with 369 of those being cards for individuals. Approximately 78% of invoices are paid by PCard, our average monthly spend for 2023 is $1.7 million, and our average annual spend (over a 5-year period) is $17.2MM. Currently, most PCard accounts are being manually reconciled by the Accounts Payable (AP) department. Our current card issuer agreement expires in April 2024.
