Durango School District 9-R, (Durango 9-R, the District), is pre-qualifying Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) and General Contractor firms and inviting expressions of interest and Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms interested in providing CM/GC or GC services for projects over the next four (4) years under the District’s 2020 Bond Program, funding for which was approved by the voters of the District in November 2020. SOQs received in response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) will be used by the District to begin selection of CM/GC and GC firms whose teams will be deemed qualified to work with appropriate District technical and site staff to plan, document and administer construction contracts for single or multiple project packages over the duration of the Program, as well as a number of site improvement and specialty construction projects to be accomplished separately in the first three years. The District expects to complete major packages under Construction Manager/General Contractor (CM/GC) contracts, negotiated with pre-qualified firms once Schematic Designs are completed; smaller packages will be competitively bid to pre-qualified general or specialty suppliers/contractors. All work will be coordinated by the District’s Program Management Team (PMT) and a Program/Project Management consultant. The largest portion of the work will be new construction and the renovation of one or more District sites, and will require a full range of construction services; however, there are a significant number of smaller packages that will be more effectively lead by a specialized supplier or contractor.
