Through this Invitation for Bid (IFB), the Department of Facilities, Fleet & Emergency Support Services (FFESS) of Douglas County Government, hereinafter referred to as the County, respectfully requests bids from responsible and highly-qualified contractors for the provision of one (1) Paired Panel Operable Wall System at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Briefing Room.
This project includes all planning, design, mobilization, materials, labor, demolition, disposal and construction/installation, and insurance needed for the successful completion of a Patrol Briefing Room Wall Divider.
The Patrol Briefing Room is located at the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office in the Robert A. Christensen Justice Center at 4000 Justice Way, Castle Rock, Colorado, 80109.
This project’s targeted completion date is October 31, 2025.
Specifics of this project include:
• Removal and disposal of one (1) existing operable wall and pocket door system.
• Furnishing and installation of one (1) new operable wall and pocket door system. The approximate measurements are: 32' 9" x 10' 0".
• The new Paired Panel Operable Wall System should include:
o Minimum of 52-STC (Sound Transmission Class)
o Manually operated paired panels
o Welded steel frame construction
o Steel faces with acoustical substrate
o Continuous contact horizontal top sweep seals
o 2" automatic bottom seals
o Telescopic closure panel with seal
o One (1) ADA-compliant pass-through door.
o One (1) full-height storage pocket door - vinyl finish to match panels in a choice of manufacturer's standard colors.
o New steel track and trolley system.
o Manufacturer's warranty on materials and labor – please specify the warranty on parts and labor.
Respondents to this IFB shall meet all of the following minimum requirements:
1. Experience: at least ten (10) years in sales, installation and service of Paired Panel Operable Wall Systems
2. License/Certification: recognized by the manufacturer of the Paired Panel Operable Wall System as a Certified Installer.
3. Location: must have a physical office located within 100 miles of Castle Rock, CO.
4. After-Sales Service: must be able to provide complete service for installed product and maintain a complete assortment of necessary spare parts.
