The Denver Zoo invites bidders to submit proposals for two shade structures to be constructed in the existing giraffe and zebra exhibit yards. Structural details for each of the shade structures have been included with this RFP. Bids should include pricing both for the structures themselves and for installation of all concrete foundations.

Note that while the Zoo is soliciting this construction work now, mobilization will not occur until February 2024, with an anticipated completion date of March 15, 2024.

An optional bidder’s site walk is scheduled for Wednesday, May 24, 2023, from 9:00 am to 10:00 am MT.

Participants should meet at the Zoo’s front gate. Up to two team members from interested parties are welcome to join this walk. Please do not plan for more than two participants. A short question and answer meeting will conclude the walk. Bidders should email ostockert@denverzoo.org to be included on the site walk check-in list.
