Summary of Specifications:
1. Scope of Work: Throughout this document, the Denver Health and Hospital Authority, a body corporate and political subdivision of the State of Colorado, hereinafter referred to as DHHA, desires to solicit a proposal relating to Patient Transportation to/from DIA. Contained within the remainder of this document is information to assist the Vendor in accurately submitting all information required to be considered for award for the above services. This activity shall commence on June 17, 2015, or date of award, whichever is later. Term of this contract shall be from June 17, 2015 to June 16, 2016 with four (4) one-year extension periods available. 2. Specification Requirements: Denver Health & Hospital Authority (DHHA) is seeking town car transportation services to and from Denver International Airport (DIA) for patients in the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders program at Denver Health. The current program consists of the following scenarios: • From DIA to DHHA- 10 to 20 one-way trips per month from DIA to DHHA. • From DHHA to DIA- 10 to 20 one-way trips per month from DHHA to DIA. • From DHHA to Eating Recovery Center (ERC ) -5 to 10 one-way trips per month from DHHA to ERC (1830 Franklin St, Denver, CO 80218) and back to DH. * (Depending on cost quoted, this service may or may not be a part of the final contract). • Driver Training –The ACUTE patients are fragile both physically and emotionally and require delicate handling. Therefore, all drivers shall be required to attend/review a brief training provided by the ACUTE Program Manager. Key training points will include topics of discussion to avoid with the patient, such as the patient’s weight, appearance, and medical condition, and what to do if a patient becomes behavioral, or unresponsive. • No stops-Drivers may not make any patient requested stops between DIA and DHHA or the ERC. • Billing-Invoices will be submitted monthly, and will be itemized with each ride specified on the invoice. • Scheduling – Rides will be scheduled at least 12 hours in advance (typically day prior to morning arrival/departure). • Annual price review-Participation in the ACUTE program is expected to grow each year. DHHA and the awarded vendor will review and negotiate pricing discounts yearly based on annual volume.
