In May of 2023, the Colorado Legislature passed House Bill 23-1074, concerning a study regarding workforce transitions to other industries. The Office of the Future of Work (OFW) at the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment (CDLE) seeks proposals from firms or public entities to perform a study which contains three parts the first to explore transitions facing oil and gas workers, resources to facilitate worker and industry transitions, and the impact of automation on Colorado industries.
