Description

The Fermentation Science and Technology (FST) program has laboratory spaces for brewing, quality analysis, and quality control testing. Presently the FST program uses a dated homebrew brewing system, which predates the FST program and was used for a single course, for education and research purposes. FST intends to upgrade their equipment to provide two commercial lab-scale brewing systems for student education and for research purposes that are representative of professional, brewing systems. Commercial scale equipment is not available in the size that would fit or be practical in the laboratory and for the intended educational and research purposes, so the design and purchase of custom equipment is anticipated.
