Mines is seeking proposals from qualified Contractors to provide electronic waste (“e-waste”) recycling and disposal services (“Services”) on an on-going scheduled, and as-need basis.
E-waste includes any discarded electrical or electronic devices such as computers, monitors, phones, tablets, printers, copiers, and electronic lab equipment. Used electronics which are destined for refurbishment, reuse, resale, salvage recycling through material recovery, or disposal are also considered e-waste. Mines currently recycles a minimum of 10 to 15 tons of non-working e-waste per year.
The Services will include monthly or bi-monthly pickups of e-waste from the main campus e-waste collection area. Other Services may be required on an as-needed basis, such as extra pick-ups for E-Waste Recycling Day during Earth Day Month in April.
