Summary of Specifications:
Colorado Mountain College is seeking qualified firms to provide regular campus security at all or many of our campuses. The scope presented below is an estimation. Actual services will be determined by campus personnel with the assistance of our risk management department. At this point in the process the College is trying to understand and evaluate our options. If you are a professional security firm and would like to respond to this RFP, please bid to the specifications described here or on a subsequent bid sheet (if one is released for this RFP). This link will take you to a list of our campuses, we are interested in proposals for all of them, including our Central Services office at 802 Grand Avenue in Glenwood Springs.
Proposed Scope of Work: „Ï Nightly patrol of each campus location, generally between 9pm and 10pm, as a walk through and to clear the building to ensure all patrons have exited. „Ï Lock and check all exterior doors and entry access. „Ï Escort students, staff or faculty to vehicles upon request; generally after dark.
Vendor Qualifications and Performance Expectations „Ï Security guards will maintain a visible and professional presence on campus at all times and wear a uniform identifying themselves as security officers. „Ï Contractor is responsible for providing trained and qualified security guards; any personnel visiting our campuses will be subject to a background check. „Ï Contractor must carry currently in-force insurance per the requirements attached to this RFP document. „Ï Take care to protect all access keys and cards, report any that become lost or misplaced immediately. „Ï No armed security services are necessary.
