Summary of Specifications:
The Big Thompson Watershed Coalition is accepting bids for a design-build river restoration project. This project will be awarded to a design-build team to finalize river restoration design, construct, and monitor areas along approximately two miles of the Big Thompson River from the Handy Ditch at the mouth of the Big Thompson Canyon to the U.S. Highway 34 Bridge below the City of Loveland Water Treatment Plant. The goal of the project is to address long-term catalytic watershed system improvements that build resilience in an area that sustained damage from recent federally-declared flood disasters. The selected design-build team shall perform or supply all necessary services as specified in the posted bid documents; or pursuant to generally accepted standard industry practice, with regard to supplemental surveying, research, analysis, design, geotechnical investigation, specification preparation, supplemental environmental permitting, utility coordination, hydraulic and sediment transport modeling, public process, construction, and provision of as-built plans with associated GIS shape files and other items consistent with associated professional consulting work.
