24.FA.002 - RFI for Re Construction of the City Hall Facility in Woodland Park

The City of Woodland Park is seeking a competitive sealed RFI,  for a re design of the Woodland Park City Hall Facility. The facility is located at 220 W South Ave, Woodland Park, CO 80863. This facility currently accommodates five departments and 30-35 members of staff.  There are two different options the City is exploring, that are outlined below.
Option 1               Upgrade the following systems At the City Hall Facility, new Fire suppression, new HVAC, and a new roof, and facade.
Option 2               The City is seeking a redesign of the City Hall Facility were the improvements and updates meet the City’s, and Community’s, needs for the next 20 years. Elements of this design are HVAC, Check of Ventilation rates in garage bays, fire Suppression, ADA accessibility throughout, exterior façade, asbestos abatement, landscaping, and a new roof. as well as a in depth discovery to improve design and flow of workspace in city hall for employees. With emphasis on security and safety for city employees. It is the expectation that the firm of design is to work with staff to discover anticipated growth of employees and future work and community spaces needed in this facility.  As well as utilize the city strategic and comprehensive plans as guidance.
Items of consideration, new design shall maintain the character and charm of the City’s current design. Well incorporating modern and efficient design functions to help improve functionality and energy efficiency of this facility.  In effort to reduce water usage City wide, the design of a reuse water system in the building. As well as the redesign of the landscaping to limit water and maintenance efforts. Both the water reuse and the landscaping would like to be set up in a way to showcase the system as demo for Developers, Builders, and the community. As things that can be done to further the future sustainability of Woodland Park.
