Description

The City of Salida, on behalf of Chaffee County and the municipalities of Buena Vista and Poncha Springs, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to complete a community-scale Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Inventory. The selected contractor will work with local jurisdictions and stakeholders to gather data, analyze emissions sources, and produce a GHG Inventory Report in alignment with the Global Protocol for Community-Scale Greenhouse Gas Emission Inventories (GPC) using ICLEI’s ClearPath tool. The GHG Inventory will serve as a baseline to help identify and prioritize emissions reduction initiatives in alignment with Chaffee County’s Sustainable Development Plan and the City of Salida’s Climate Action Plan.

Selection of the successful firm with whom negotiations shall commence will be made through an evaluation process based on the following criteria:
40% Project Approach
20% Project Team
20% Project Fee Structure & Cost Estimate (Value for Budget)

  5% Presentation of Proposal
2. Submission Instructions
A complete Request for Proposals package is available at CityofSalida.com One electronic proposal is to be delivered to the Bidnet Portal no later than August 1, 2025. Interviews with qualified candidates are tentatively scheduled for the week of August 11th, and selection of the successful candidate is tentatively scheduled for August 15th.
Proposals will be evaluated and a contract award made, based on the following criteria listed: (1) Responsiveness of written proposals to requirements of RFP; (2) Qualifications and Experience of Firm; (3) Qualifications and Experience of Personnel assigned to the Project; (4) Price.
