The City seeks to renovate an existing school building at 117 W. 10th Street, Leadville, CO into a
publicly accessible Community Center to meet the indoor recreation and social needs of residents,
particularly youth. This project addresses a long-standing community need for safe, supervised indoor
spaces and supports a range of community-led programs and partner initiatives.
The renovation needs to address critical infrastructure upgrades, including roof repair, HVAC and
plumbing systems, asbestos remediation, electrical updates, and modifications to make the space safe,
usable, and cost-effective for long-term public use. Details for expectations, budget, and deliverables
as well as timeline, criteria, and photos of the building are included in the Scope of Work.
The City is seeking proposals for professional consulting services, with a project budget of up to
$100,000, to guide the next phase of planning, feasibility, and design. The selected contractor will
work closely with the City’s established Project Manager to develop plans that ensure the building is
safe, functional, and also economically sustainable.
