Description

The City of Fountain is requesting a bid for the construction of Duckwood Road and the construction of a traffic signal located at the intersection of Duckwood Road and Sante Fe Avenue (Highway 85/87). The project encompasses a railroad crossing. Any construction within 25’ of the railroad tracks will require flaggers, to be provided by the railroad, and paid for by the City of Fountain. The City of Fountain will procure the Temporary Access Agreement from the El Paso County for the construction of Duckwood Road west of Sante Fe Avenue. The City of Fountain will procure the required Consent from the Bureau of Reclamation for the construction Duckwood Road over the Fountain Valley Conduit (FVC), a 24-inch Reclamation water main pipeline west of Sante Fe Avenue. The project is to be completed in accordance with the Drexel, Barrell & Company S.H. 85/Duckwood Road Improvements plan set dated March 29, 2018.
