33-24 - Liquid Sodium Chlorite

MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS
 

1. 1. Chemical to be supplied shall be 25% Active Sodium Chlorite.
   2. City of Cañon City Water Treatment Plant’s supply shall comply with A.W.W.A. Standard B303-00.
   3. Chemical supplied must meet ANSI/NSF 60 Certification for drinking water.
   4. Trucks delivering Sodium Chlorite must have proper equipment to completely empty trucks.  Gravity unloading will not be accepted.

1. 1. The City of Cañon City Water Treatment Plant will be purchasing 40,000 pounds of Sodium Chlorite for 2024.
   2. Specification Sheets for the chemical being bid shall be required to be returned with the bid.
   3. Certificate of Analysis shall accompany shipment of chemical.
   4. Quotation shall be firm, F.O.B. Cañon City Water Treatment Plant, 103 Tunnel Drive, Cañon City, CO 81212.
   5. Quotation shall be exclusive of all taxes.
   6. The supplier shall be able to deliver the amount specified within 15 business days after notification.
   7. Should the supplier be unable to furnish the supplies ordered within the time specified on the quotation, it is understood that neither party to this agreement shall be penalized and the city may procure such supplies from other sources without affecting the agreement.
   8. Payment will be made for only the amount of Sodium Chlorite signed for by authorized personnel.
   9. Quotation must be based on cost per pound.
   10. Agreement may be extended for three (3) additional one-year terms, if, and only if, both parties agree to EITHER “NO PRICE INCREASE” or a price increase at the beginning of each renewal term, not to exceed the Denver area Consumer Price Index for the current year of the Price Agreement.
